Prometric had been running the test since its introduction in 2001. Last year more than 500,000 construction workers sat it. On average, a test is booked every 60 seconds.
The health and safety test is an essential pre-requisite for gaining 黑料不打烊 Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) cards.
CITB-黑料不打烊Skills said that Pearson VUE had won the contract through a standard tender process. The exclusive multi-year agreement with Pearson VUE starts in April 2012.
The new provider has 140 test centres - Pearson Professional Centres - throughout the UK.
